I had one years ago, love it then a and l still do is a good work knife

My Opinel #8 arrived today. I am extremely impressed with the knife’s light weight and simple yet very solid design. The carbon blade arrived very sharp and should provide a lifetime of service if properly cared for. I’m so impressed with this knife that I purchased a #9, which has a quarter inch longer bladed and a slightly larger handle.

Excellent Knife

Excellent knife! It is very sharp. The vegetables I have cut with it have a noticeably smooth slice in them.

A backpackers must!

I love these knives for the quality you get for the price point. Not much I can say that hasn't been said about Opinel knives. These are great knives for the picnic basket, backpack, campsite and tackle box. Affordable enough to utilize without extreme caution for fear of loss or damage, although I don't wish to have either happen. Always with me as everyday carry while hiking. Traditional design made in France, in same quality since day 1. Highly recommend and will purchase other models.

Great gift

This was a gift for our adult son. The quality of the workmanship was excellent. The knife is easy to handle and fit nicely in the pocket of his jeans. The knife was delivered 2 days before the scheduled date that we were given. We highly recommend Opinel.
