A raw Opinel handle for you to carve! Show off your skills and turn this natural wooden handle into your own. Cherry wood or "Prunus Avium" is a smooth-grained, reddish-brown hardwood that comes from sustainably managed French forests.

United StatesThe three different varieties of wood handles are even more exceptional than expected. Opinel continues to produce beautiful and functional knives. I am proud to include the Ebauche No. 8 varieties (Olive Inox, Maple Inox and Cherry Carbon) to my already wonderful collection of Opinel knives dating back to the 1950s. I am a fervent believer in your No. 8. There is no better folding knife than the Opinel. My father gave me his (from the 1950s) and I have never looked back! Merci Beaucoup !
United Statesi learned whittling and practiced on a template model i made using shop tools to learn how to whittle until i had the skill to whittle the handle on this one! can't attach picture due to losing the knife, but it was awesome.

Great utility knife. I’m researching what I can do with handle for comfort of use before I plunge into carving it. Nothing fancy, just need to fit the hand for better grip and functionality. Love the knife and the option to customize handle. Cherry wood handle option is beautiful.
