So we set out to build the kit we needed for both: a handy, portable set of tools designed to whip up a campsite feast or a quick picnic. The result? Our brand new Nomad Kit, the petite pocket prep kit that travels as well as you do.
Our kit includes three stainless steel tools: a large folding knife with a serrated blade; our beloved folding corkscrew knife; and the first-ever folding vegetable peeler. Hand-honed stainless steel blades tuck away into French beechwood handles, while our signature twisting "Virobloc" locking rings keep blades locked open or closed for secure stowing and safe slicing.
The set is wrapped in a quick-drying microfiber cloth that unfolds into a multi-purpose dishtowel, placemat and napkin, perfect for staking out a clean work surface, washing up, and keeping all the essentials together in your pack or stowed in the galley. All bundled up, the kit is roughly the size of a hardcover book — small enough to tuck away, and serious enough to tackle any culinary challenge.
We designed the Nomad Kit for campsites, for weekends at the ski cabin, for lazy vacations and jam-packed road trips. Snack atop a mountain, or a picnic at the shore.
